Good News for Children with
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Their Families
PsychSystems P.C. a provider of behavioral
services in Southeastern Michigan has Masters level psychologists with and academic backgrounds and experience
in providing behavioral interventions to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We provide Applied Behavior
Analysis (ABA) programs to help these individuals learn the skills needed to be happy, successful, and lead fulfilling
lives.
ABA programs are the only proven effective treatment for children with these disorders. Following a comprehensive
assessment of a child’s skills, intensive treatment is tailored to the child’s needs. Additionally, techniques
to reduce or extinguish challenging behaviors can also be developed which will help each child’s unique problems.
The child’s communication can be developed and improved using ABA methods and the Picture Exchange Communication
System (PECS, Frost & Bondy, 2002). Staff have been trained in a workshop developed by Frost and Bondy and
conducted by Pyramid Educational Consultants, Inc.
